Biography

Russell Bertwell’s professional work focuses on business process innovation, organizational transformation and human-centered design. His management consulting experience spans aerospace and defense, technology and manufacturing, with an emphasis on aligning business strategy, operations and technology. He brings this industry knowledge into his role as an adjunct professor in the Management, Strategy and Entrepreneurship department.

At Accenture, Bertwell served as a principal director in the strategy and consulting practice. His projects included developing digital manufacturing strategies, establishing an innovation function for a defense manufacturer and guiding organizational transitions during large-scale systems implementations. He has also led initiatives in supply chain management, product lifecycle management and business process improvement.

Bertwell earned an MBA from SMU Cox and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Baylor University.
