Dylan Hunn had a confession to make Saturday afternoon. He likes math, a lot.
“Math really is my favorite subject at school. I’ve gone as far as reading workbooks for fun during the summer, said Dylan, a 14-year-old freshman at Shepton High School in Plano. “That’s kind of nerdy.
Well, maybe. But his mathematics experiment, which won first place in his division at the Beal Bank Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair hosted by ÎçÒ¹AV’s physics department, was kind of awesome, like many of the 750 other projects on display at Fair Park.
Dylan said his “epiphany came not in math class but in a class called human geography.
